Lapinus was born and raised in Krakow, Poland. Although he never received any artistic education, his passion for art has been a central theme throughout his life. He moved to London at the age of 20 and slowly started developing his hobby into something more meaningful. With encouragement of fellow artists, he started working on his first exhibition inspired by Greek mythology.
His first intimate solo exhibition in 2015 called "Retrospective of Dysfunctional Mythology" presented us with a collection of drawings manifesting a modern take on mythological iconography. The portraits, executed on paper with coloured pencils, put forward a vulnerable side of mighty gods with a daring and idiosyncratic perspective fused with an explosion of colour and time consuming technique.
